Created by the celebrity “Street Food Chef” Will Meyrick, Hujan Locale brings a new spin on Asian cuisine. The restaurant has not only been completely renovated and redecorated, but it also features some new signature items on the menu.
James Runciman, Group Head of Operations for F&B at Mirah Investment & Development, shared how thrilled he is for the updated Hujan Locale.
“Hujan Locale is going to make an incredible comeback with its re-opening. Our new design, décor, and dishes are all Indonesian-based and will include new flavours and elements that make a statement as an Ubud restaurant. I am very excited to see how people will react to Hujan [Locale],” James said.
Hujan Locale’s kitchen is run by Indonesian chef Heri Raharjo and allows travellers, tourists, and locals to experience Indonesia through the ingredients used in its delectable dishes.
“Bringing in Heri [Raharjo] was the perfect piece of the puzzle. We’ve worked with him on a project previously in Hong Kong. Heri is going to do a fantastic job with the restaurant, and he’s definitely got the heart and skills to do it,” James said.

We have a restaurant & bar, Honey & Smoke, opening in a couple of months just down the road in Ubud. We are continuing to grow at a rapid pace and are determined to get restaurants in Bali, and Indonesia, the attention it deserves,” Adrian has said.
